    Learning outcomes

    Apply occupational safety requirements, safe lifting procedures, and environmental protection measures during tire and wheel service operations.

    Inspect tires, wheels, valves, and related components, identify wear patterns, damage, and serviceability, and determine appropriate service actions.

    Select and correctly use tire service tools, lifting equipment, balancing machines, inflation devices, torque tools, and repair materials.

    Perform tire removal, mounting, balancing, inflation, rotation, and seasonal replacement according to workplace procedures and quality standards.

    Carry out permitted tire repairs and related service operations in accordance with manufacturer guidance, safety rules, and service limitations.

    Identify faults, imbalance, air loss, improper fitment, and other non-conformities, and apply corrective actions or escalate issues appropriately.

    Complete service records, inspection notes, and customer-related documentation accurately and in accordance with workshop requirements.

    Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers regarding service findings, recommended actions, and completed work.

    Assessment
